It's a go for Leeds Fire Station 2

Seeley's Bay, April 5, 2024 - Joined by dignitaries and representatives from the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands, JCB Construction Canada took part in a groundbreaking ceremony to officially begin construction of the new Fire Station #2 in Seeley’s Bay.
The new fire station will feature three drive-through apparatus bays, a decontamination room, bunker gear room, office space, kitchen and training room. The building will also be equipped with a system to collect and store rainwater for use in firefighting. Once operational, the new Fire Station will be capable of servicing a firefighting staff of 28. Located at the intersection of Highway 15 and County Road 32, the new fire station will better meet the growing needs of the community and the operational requirements of the region's fire services.Construction will take place over the next eight months, with completion scheduled for January 2025.
